Teen Company

 

ECTC’s Teen Company is a focused training program for students to pursue advanced theatre education and mentorship. This program provides personalized, hands-on, collaborative learning. Lessons are production/product-based in an inclusive, active environment. Training received in this program will be advantageous for college prep and future professional theatre endeavors. Students will receive diverse, upper-level training in the art of theatre, perform in multiple productions throughout the season, and build audition repertoires/tech portfolios to be used toward collegiate theatre program auditions and scholarships while building professional theatre resume credits. 


WHO CAN JOIN?

Any student in grade 9th - 12th, regardless of which school they attend, who is passionate about theatre and fine arts, and has a desire to continue their theatre education to advanced levels and elevate their performance in the craft.

Attendance

  • Minimal conflicts and regular attendance are mandatory; A season schedule will be given at the start of the course. All conflicts must be stated/communicated in advance.

WILL THERE BE ADDITIONAL COSTS BEYOND THE TUITION FEE?*

Yes. Additional costs to be considered include accommodations, meal and travel expenses for any educational trips, as well as,  performance fees and guest entry fees for parents/family to attend the competition as audience members.

WHO, WHEN, AND WHERE?

ECTC Director of Education Mr Heath (MC) Carroll will be your Company Director / Leader. Rehearsals will begin with a week-long Summer Intensive - July 29 - August 2, 9:00 am - 3:00 pm followed by weekly rehearsals on Saturdays from 1:00-4:00pm beginning on August 10 at ECTC, 560 Grand Boulevard, Suite 200.

ECTC Thespian Troupe (6th-8th Grade)

Junior Thespian troupe is an honor society that recognizes and rewards excellence among the participants in the theatre arts program. Troupe #89447 is a partnership with Seaside Neighborhood School giving middle school students the opportunity to expand their training and knowledge of the craft of theatre. Activities in this troupe include individual and group events, and a one act play to be performed at District level at Tallahassee and the State Conference in Orlando.
